Southeast Seattle Author and Artist
Roosevelt Lewis
at the Columbia City Gallery
Roosevelt Lewis was one of the founders
of the Southeast Seattle Art Council and an active
community member for the betterment of Southeast
Seattle. He has lived in Seattle for 46 years. Many of
his stories and inspiration for his artwork come from
his childhood on the Cane River in Central Louisiana.
His work is exhibited in the Guest Gallery through
February 21.
Lewis will read from his
recently published book, "Taught by Life: Art and
Stories" at the Columbia City Gallery Literary Series,
on Sunday, January 17,
5-7pm.
